Suuns
Branx, MFNW. Another MFNW highlight. Montreal's Suuns (pronounced "soons") are a quartet that plays a kaleidoscopic variety of psychedelic dance musics. While employing the more or less traditional rock tools of trade (guitars, synths, drums), the four musicians frequently change the instrumentation as well as what paricular instrument each individual member is playing on any given song. The result varies from swirling krautrock to throbbing dance beats to mysterious vocal chants to hard-driving rock, and is never, ever dull.
