The one-E Leroy Jenkins (1932–2007) was an American jazz and new music violinist and composer. A founding member of the Revolutionary Ensemble, he has recorded with Anthony Braxton, Carla Bley, Muhal Richard Abrams, Archie Shepp, Alice Coltrane, and Cecil Taylor, among many others. He was a skilled improviser and probably a genius, and you should make yourself familiar with his many recordings.
The two-E Leeroy Jenkins is the name of a player in the multi-player video game World of Warcraft and a name now synonymous with any person or thing that causes everything to go wrong for everyone else, usually in extraordinary fashion.
