This is not a cuttlefish - they're amazing mimics, but not this good - but a bunyip, a water- or cave-dwelling cryptid often appearing in the Dreaming stories of Aboriginal peoples across Australia. Although an actual specimen has yet to be discovered, it reportedly lives near rivers and has “a dog-like face, a crocodile-like head, dark fur, a horse-like tail, flippers, and walrus-like tusks or horns or a duck-like bill.”
Since one has never been found, the extent of its full range is not known. Although they've mainly been reported in New South Wales, they might also inhabit uncharted portions of Papua New Guinea. Could they also exist (or have existed) on Java, or in the Sumatran interior? Might Bodhidharma have come across one in his journey to the East?
Working on ideas for my Bodhi novel.

Cuttlefish were always my favorite sea creatures. I always like unusual nonearthly alien things and aesthetics, and they definitely are that. I used to always want to start a saltwater tank so I could keep some cuttlefish, an anemone, and some clownfish. I don't even know if you can stick a cuttlefish in there with an anemone the cuttlefish might just end up dead. Also saltwater tanks are very expensive. I would probably start one if I was you though. Can you imagine coming home and seeing some cuttlefish?
