Lá Sona Patrick! (Gaelic for, well, you can figure it out)

Well, apparently you can proceed beyond Level 50.  The other day, we said that we had reached Level 50 in the video game Assassin's Creed Odyssey and thought that we'd plateau from there on in, never reaching a higher level.  There were no adversaries above Level 50, no quests for levels above 50, and we saw no weapons that required a level higher than 50 to unlock.  There was absolutely nothing in the game to make us think that levels higher than 50 even existed.

But after earning a sufficient number of Experience Points at Level 50, we were surprised to see that we had graduated to Level 51.  We're at Level 55 now, and from what we read online, the game's producer, Ubisoft, increased the maximum level from 50 to 70 last January, because so many players, such as yours truly,  reached Level 50 with lots of gameplay still left and it didn't seem fair to keep them from progressing beyond that point.  We also read online (Reddit, so we can't confirm it's true) that the plans are to eventually increase the ceiling to Level 100, if you can imagine such a thing.

We think we may stop playing when our level passes our age.

Meanwhile, in the real world, we took our vehicle to our local Goodyear store to have a professional look at the car and tires.  We never really understood why our tire suddenly blew out on us last month while we were driving down the road at high speed.  The technician said the remaining tires all looked fine - they're two years old but have lots of thread left and seem to be in great shape.  He speculated that somewhere along the line, we probably picked up a nail or some other puncture to the tire, and the pressure of high-speed driving dramatically and catastrophically accelerated its wear, leading to the sudden blow out.

Still, we was nervous, and even over the store's objection, bought a new rear tire to replace the old one that didn't blow.   We had wanted to replace all three remaining tires, but they talked us out of it.  We also told them to balance all the tires and adjust the alignment, but when they had the car up on the lift, they told us that the alignment was already spot on - no work needed.

So we went to Goodyear ready to buy three tires, a balance and an alignment, and they convinced us that we didn't need any new tires at all and only agreed to replace the one for our peace of mind and at our insistence, and they didn't charge us for an unnecessary alignment.  They may not have made as much money off us as they could that day, but they've got customers for life.

Shameless plug for DW Campbell Goodyear on Howell Mill Road in Atlanta - take your car there for all of your tire and other automotive needs.  They're good people and do a good job.
