Time to travel to Birmingham, Alabama today. Crossing the Chattahoochee and both the Tallapoosa and Little Tallapoosa Rivers takes you into the State of Alabama and the Central Time Zone. Cross the Coosa River and go up and over Bald Rock Mountain, and after two and a half magical hours, you reach Village Creek and you're there in Birmingham.
One of the benefits of my job is that I get to travel to many lovely cities and places, and visit the most polluted, industrialized portions of those cities and places. I have to be discreet and protect my clients' privacy, but I can share these:
It's like living a dream.
(Roadside stand near Birmingham, 1936)
For those of you interested in such things, my new business venture is not only getting off the ground nicely, it's actually already starting to overwhelm me. My anxiety about sitting home and waiting for the phone to ring has been replaced by anxiety that it won't stop ringing. How in the world am I going to get everything done?
Today was just an initial, one-day site visit, but it looks like I'll be spending most, if not all, of next week in Birmingham. After that, it's anyone's guess how much more work there will be for me there.
Ah, the dusty toil of an urban monk!

What's so bad about the warehouse? Would rent it out and maybe sub divide it up.
