Day of the Whale, 33rd of Spring, 525 M.E. (Deneb): I'm not a big fan of the Bible, it's not my thing, but my favorite story in it, if I had to pick one, is when God creates whales. Poof, whales! As the Book or Genesis, Chapter 1, puts it,

And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

It's interesting, as in it's odd, that the writers single out whales before adding, "and everything else that swims and flies." One wouldn't think that a bunch of Bronze Age Middle Eastern shepherds thought that whales were so important.

Everyone always assumes that ETs visit Earth in their UFOs to study and communicate with us humans but, hypothetical question, how do we know they're not here to meet the whales? Those deeply resonant, low-frequency whale songs might be what attracted the aliens to our planet in the first place.

It's not always about us, you know.
