Today is the day for no self-deception. Without self-deception, we do not praise ourselves.
And with that, I've painted myself into a narrative corner. It's relatively easy to write a blog post without bragging or boasting, but at some level, isn't the intention of all posts to make their author look good? Even posts where the author confesses to shortcomings or faults also make the author look honest and insightful. Either way, it's praising oneself.
If today is the day for no self-deception, today is not the day for writing any more in this post. I've already said too much.
