It's pretty much official now - the foreshadowed changes have occurred and after a dozen years, I have formally cut ties with my former Zen teacher and am now no longer a member of the Atlanta Soto Zen Center or its affiliates. This is a good thing - my practice path is now solely my responsibility. No one to blame for my delusion but myself.
Bonus points for free time. No more Monday Night Zazen, no more Sundays in Chattanooga. At least for now.
This in no way reflects any abandonment of the dharma or of zazen practice. In fact, in many ways its an embracing of the Way.
