It's official - at 106°F, yesterday was Atlanta's hottest day in recorded history, breaking a record of 105 degrees that's stood for 32 years.
Also, I understand that based on the globally-averaged land surface temperature, May 2012 was the all-time warmest May on record, at 2.18°F above average.
The hottest ever, the all-time warmest. . . it seems like we're saying things like that a lot lately.
