The Boycott

For once, I find myself in agreement with the political right, at least the portion of which that is advocating for Republicans to boycott the Georgia run-off election for the U.S. Senate.  They're saying that Republicans should write in Donald Trump's name in lieu of Awful Loeffler or the Coward David Perdue, and write in the name of the so-called ex-"president," Donald Jemima Trump.

Never mind that it's physically impossible to write in a name on a run-off ballot - the whole point of a run-off is to break a virtual tie between two candidates in a general election, and there's no place on the ballot to write in a name of someone, anyone, who's not one of the two competing candidates, even if is for Donald Junglefever Trump.  So, as the best option, Republicans should just stay home - don't vote, ride this one out, and let the Democrats disgrace themselves by participating in the sham election.

Trump "lawyer" Lin Wood explained the rationale behind the boycott.  With absolutely no evidence, Wood maintains that Dominion voting machines have a built-in algorithm that illegally changes a certain percentage of Republican votes to Democrat votes, and also generates a certain number of additional fake Democratic votes. So, Wood maintains, if a small enough number of Republicans vote, the Dominion algorithm will produce a negative number of Republican votes and prove once and for all that the election was rigged and allow the courts to overturn the November election results.

I'll have some of what he's smoking.  Please, no one explain to Lin that a company clever enough and sufficiently motivated to sneak an algorithm into the computer code to switch votes would also be clever enough to add another line of code to not let the total fall below zero (a simple "If:Then" macro to keep the number from going negative would suffice).  Please, no one tell Lin that there's no physical way to record a vote for a write-in candidate in a run-off election.  Please, no one tell Lin that he's bat-shit crazy and embarrassing himself and his party on a national stage.  Just go ahead and boycott this election.  It's the patriotic thing to let only Democrats vote.
