Listening, 59th of the Dog Days, 526 M.E. (Betelgeuse): Georgians have paid $1.4B extra for gas since the start of the Iran War according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. But I still see MAGA adherents on social media saying the Stable Genius is tirelessly working day and night to do everything he can for the working man and to lower prices, and any inflation or rising prices is still Biden's and Obama's fault. 

Remnants of Dolly are still producing showers and thunderstorms and could produce strong to near gale-force winds and rough seas. The National Hurricane Center forecasts the remnants making landfall in South Florida, so there's still a chance it could wash away Mar-A-Lago, that gaudy infestation of corruption and refuge for pedophiles. A separate low-pressure system in the northern Gulf waters is producing scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms and has a low chance of development into a tropical storm over the next week. 

Despite somewhat cooler temperatures here in Atlanta today, I didn't take my alternating-day walk today. The reason was simple: there was a Red Sox-Yankees doubleheader today. Any Red Sox-Yankees game is a good reason to alter one's plans, but a double header and both televised (we don't get that many televised games here in Atlanta, and I refuse to pay for the NESN app or for the MLB package on cable), well, that's a whole other matter. And this season, when the Red Sox have mounted a turnaround and comeback of Biblical proportions, and this series, with so much playoff potential on the line, well, that seals it. Walk, schmalk - I'm gonna couch potato it today and watch all 18 innings (at least) of both games today. My trail's not going anywhere but maybe my Red Sox are. We shall see.
