Mid-Autumn Festival

It's October already!  2021 is three-quarters gone!  Where does the time go?

Today is the day for meditation of there being no self, which leads one from a tainted attachment to the ego.

790 years ago, October 1, 1231 to be precise, Zen Master Dogen wrote Bendowa, the first fascicle of his Shobogenzo.  Coincidentally, this date is also the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.

Happy Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.  It still feels like late summer here in southeastern North America.

In keeping with the release from attachment to the self, instead of writing about what's on my mind, here's another portrait of Atlanta.  These pictures were lovingly culled from my social media feeds, and kudos go to all of the highly talented, original photographers.

The third picture down is my local neighborhood.
