Stupid People

It all makes sense to me now.

Today the sixth assessment report of the International Panel on Climate Change came out.  It's a devastating indictment on the future of our planet and its full of data, footnotes, charts, and figures.

In other words, it's not easy for stupid people to understand.

And it's stupid people who are contributing the most to the problem, re-posting memes that climate change is a hoax, insisting on driving big, gas-guzzling SUVs, and living in car-centric suburbs.

It's stupid people who have caused the current, variant-driven fourth wave of covid infections.   They resist vaccinations, they refuse to wear masks to protect themselves and others, and they are now the ones overwhelming ICUs and other hospital resources right now.

The planet can't tolerate stupid people much longer, and now I realize what the covids actually are - they're Mother Earth's purge of stupid people for the benefit of all other living things.

Let the stupid go unvaccinated.  Don't make them wear masks if they don't want to.  Let them celebrate their superspreader events in Sturgis, at Lollapalooza, and at Trump rallies.  Let them die.

Let them die - the Earth not only doesn't need them, we're all better off without them.  If you don't have the common sense to protect yourself during a pandemic, you probably don't have the ability to grasp the science behind climate change.  You probably can't resist the populist appeal of autocrat dictators.  

Without stupid people, we can have a healthier planet, with a sustainable climate, with representative democracy.  The only thing holding us back is stupid people, and the covids are Earth's way of getting rid of them for us.
