Today's POS - Goofball Doug Collins

Goofball Georgia Representative Doug Collins, a Republican who supported Texas' lawsuit to disenfranchise Georgia voters and who placed third behind Kelly Loeffler in the initial round of Georgia's special Senate election, has since endorsed Awful Loeffler in the runoff election.  Meanwhile, Loeffler, a known Catholic, has taken to attacking sermons made by her new rival, the Rev. Raphael Warnock, using out-of-context quotes against him in her attack ads.  Some of those ads have bordered on, if not crossed, the boundary between attacks on Rev. Warnock's own personnel beliefs and attacks on black theology in general.  Collins, in turn, has ben rebuked over comments he made reiterating that line of attack against Warnock.

"There is no such thing as a pro-choice pastor," Mr. Collins said. "What you have is a lie from the bed of hell. It is time to send it back to Ebenezer Baptist Church."

Jim Galloway, the dean of Georgia’s political press and a longtime columnist at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, argued in a recent column that such statements went beyond attacking a political opponent to "trashing the fragile relationship that Georgia Republicans have maintained with Ebenezer and, by extension, the King family."

Following the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Collins memorably tweeted, "RIP to the more than 30 million innocent babies that have been murdered during the decades that Ruth Bader Ginsburg defended pro-abortion laws,"  showing no empathy, sorrow, or remorse over the passing of the noted jurist.
