Oh, the vices that come to fill in the void left when one stops working - all my life's an endless stream of Netflix, Spotify music, computer games, books, Marvel comics, The New Yorker, seasonal sports, surfing the 'net, walks on the Beltline, the Times' crossword puzzle, zazen, and watching the weather and the even stormier political proceedings.
Honestly, my worry at retirement was that without the discipline of going to the office every day, I would gradually drift into alcoholism. The truth of the matter is that with all of those other distractions and diversions, many nights I don't even think about pouring myself a drink because I'm too preoccupied. Who's got time to drink?
As for the weather - today was Day 1 of another four days of rain, but you know what? I don't care anymore! I have a roof! That works! At least so far - it rained all day today starting at about 10 a.m. and it's still raining now, and so far, no leaks have appeared on the ceiling and no floodwater has crept beneath the back door onto my kitchen floor.
Last weekend, I enjoyed a brief respite between the roofing construction of last week and the rain of today and I got to enjoy my walks along the Beltline trail on Saturday and Sunday.
As for politics, I'm still undecided. Not about Trump - that shithead has to go. Obviously. But no Democratic candidate has appealed to me more than the other contenders - it's not that I don't like any of them, it's just that for every candidate's strengths, they have a corresponding weakness. The Georgia primary is still two weeks out so I've still got time to decide
I've been talking about music over at the music blog and I talked about computer games yesterday, so no point in going over any of those at this time. As for television, I’m probably more excited than appropriate that Episode Three of Season Four of Better Call Saul airs tonight. And there's not that much one can say about zazen, other than it's basically sitting and staring at a wall.
When I first sat down to write this, I honestly thought that something interesting would pop into my mind as I went along, but that apparently wasn't the case, So I'll wrap it up for now and try again tomorrow. Alright? See you then.

Literally all I wanted was for you to stop talking about me with all kinds of wrong assumptions on your blog constantly. But that's too much apparently. I wasn't asking for advice, teaching, anything. I had more typed I wanted to say but maybe some things should be left unsaid, so bye.
