Dreaming of the Masters

Interestingly, in addition to his numerous albums, Sun Ra and his label, El Saturn, also regularly released singles as well.  Sometime in the mid '90s, I came across a three-CD box set called Sun Ra - The Singles, which rocked my world - I had no idea that all this existed, or that he had produced doo-wop songs in the early '50s.

This, although most decidedly not doo-wop, is one of the first singles on El Saturn by Sun Ra himself.  It was probably recorded around 1956 in Chicago, although details are hard to come by.

It is strange.
