This seems to be the week for memorials - Neda Aga Soltan, the martyr of Tehran, Joe Christ, Atlanta's artist provocateur, and now Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett.There's nothing I can say about either of the latter two that won't be saturated in the media over the next few days. Cynics might find it amusing to watch the journalists try and find parallels between the lives of a 70s sex symbol and an 80s pop star.
